The ulnar tuberosity is the attachment point for the brachialis, making this muscle the primary elbow flexor. The ulnar tuberosity sits on the anterior, proximal ulna just distal to the coronoid process, and the brachialis fibers insert there (along with the coronoid process) to pull the ulna toward the humerus when the forearm flexes. This is why flexion of the elbow is strongest with the brachialis, especially when the forearm is pronated or in a neutral position.

The other muscles attach elsewhere: the biceps brachii attaches to the radial tuberosity (not the ulna), the triceps brachii inserts at the olecranon to extend the elbow, and pronator teres attaches to the radius and ulna but not at the ulnar tuberosity.
